In this flexible work-from-home engagement (open to candidates in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, NZ, and Ireland), you will apply practical mastery of tax law, legal research and analysis, legal document review, issue spotting to stress-test large language models, verify factual rigor, and build gold-standard evaluation datasets.

Key Duties & Project Scope

• Identify legal errors, missing information, and weaknesses in legal reasoning.
• Deliver actionable, well-organized critiques and corrections to improve model-generated outputs.
• J.D. degree from a U.S. law school.
• Active, good-standing bar admission in at least one U.S. state or D.C.
• At least 3+ years of substantive legal practice, preferably in tax law.
• Analyze tax law scenarios to identify key legal issues, assess risks, and apply sound legal judgment.
• Review model-generated legal analyses, arguments, and documents for accuracy and completeness.

Candidate Requirements

• Compensation Band: $100 - $170/hour
• Work Location: Remote (100% Remote / Asynchronous Flexibility)

• Strong legal reasoning, issue-spotting, and document review skills.

• Preferred: Experience with federal or state taxation, tax compliance, tax planning, IRS matters, tax disputes, or complex tax transactions. An LL.M. in Taxation is a plus.
